These tools are used to measure the bored hole without removing the boring bar. After gaging the hole you measure accross the threaded gauge rods with the digital caliper. These adjustable tools can also be used to position the boring bar inside a worn hole during setup. Very accurate to +/-.001". (More reliable than telescoping gauge set)
