HEAVY DUTY AUTOMATIC TUBE AND BAR END DEBURRING MACHINE

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
THIS HEAVY-DUTY, TUBE END DEBURRING MACHINE IS DESIGNED FOR
MANUAL LOADING OF THE CUT PIECES.
TUBES ARE AUTOMATICALLY CONVEYED BETWEEN TWO ROTATING WIRE
BRUSHES. ONE BRUSH UNIT IS FIXED AND THE OTHER IS POSITIONED
TO SUIT THE WORKPIECE LENGTH. THE BURRS ARE SIMULTANEOUSLY
REMOVED FROM BOTH ENDS OF THE WORKPIECE. IN THE CASE OF
TUBULAR SECTIONS, THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE PERIPHERIES ARE
PROCESSED AT THE SAME TIME. THE BRUSH HEIGHT IS ADJUSTABLE
SO THAT ONLY THE EXTERNAL OR ONLY THE INTERNAL EDGES CAN BE
DEBURRED. INTERCHANGEABLE SUPPORT RAILS ARE AVAILABLE TO
ROTATE THE DIFFERENT WORKPIECES DEPENDING ON WHETHER ROUNDS,
SQUARES, RECTANGLES, OR SHAPES ARE BEING PROCESSED.

THE DESIGN INCORPORATES THE FOLLOWING FEATURES:
MAIN FRAME:
THE TWO DEBURRING UNITS ARE MOUNTED ON A HEAVY-DUTY FABRICATED STEEL FRAME
BRUSH HEADS:
ONE OF THE TWO BRUSH HEADS IS MOUNTED IN A FIXED POSITION, AND
THE OTHER IS MOVABLE ALONG THE MAIN FRAME. THE MOVABLE HEAD
IS ADJUSTED ACCORDING TO THE LENGTH OF THE WORKPIECE BY MEANS
OF A HANDWHEEL OVER A RACK AND PINION.
EACH BRUSH IS POWERED BY A TOTALLY ENCLOSED, FAN COOLED ELECTRIC MOTOR.
PROVISION IS MADE FOR HORIZONTALLY ADJUSTING BOTH BRUSHES IN
ORDER TO COMPENSATE FOR WEAR AND TO FINELY SET THE BRUSH PRESSURE.
THE BRUSHES CAN ALSO BE ADJUSTED IN THE VERTICAL DIRECTION ACCORDING
TO THE WORKPIECE SIZE AND, IN THE CASE OF TUBES, ADJUSTMENT IS
MADE DEPENDING ON WHETHER I.D. OR O.D. OR BOTH ARE TO BE DEBURRED.
THE SETTING IS MADE ACCORDING TO A SCALE.
RECOMMENDED WIRE BRUSHES:
TWO DYNAMICALLY BALANCED BRUSHES, EACH MEASURING APPROXIMATELY
10" O.D. X 12" LONG AND FILLED WITH .014" NORMAL DUTY CRIMPED
STEEL WIRE. TO BE USED ON CARBON STEEL TUBES.
NOTE: OTHER BRUSHES ARE AVAILABLE FROM MANUFACTURER
TUBE AND BAR TRANSPORT SYSTEM:
THE WORKPIECES ARE CONVEYED BETWEEN THE ROTATING WIRE BRUSHES
BY MEANS OF CONVEYOR CHAINS WITH PAWLS. EXCHANGEABLE SUPPORT
PLATES ARE PROVIDED FOR ROUNDS AND SQUARES TO PROVIDE RELIABLE
ROTATION FOR EQUAL DEBURRING. SPECIAL NOTCHED SUPPORT PLATES
ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FOR ROTATING OF SHAPES. THESE MUST BE
MADE UP ACCORDING TO THE SHAPE AND SIZE OF THE WORKPIECE
BEING DEBURRED AND ARE QUOTED UPON APPLICATION. IN ORDER
TO ASSURE THT THE WORKPIECES REMAIN AGAINST THE PAWLS,
ADJUSTABLE LINEAR BRUSHES ARE POSITIONED ABOVE THE ENDS
OF THE WORKPIECE W HICH PROVIDE A BRAKING AND HOLD-DOWN EFFECT.
PNEUMATIC LOADER
A CUT PIECE FEEDER WITH STORAGE RAILS IS PROVIDED. THE RAILS
ACT AS A STORAGE AREA FOR THE CUT PIECES AND THEY ARE EQUIPPED
WITH A PNEUMATICALLY OPERATED WORKPIECE LOADING ESCAPEMENT.
THIS UNIT IS MOUNTED ON THE INFEED SIDE OF THE DEBURRING MACHINE.
IT IS MANUALLY LOADED BY THE OPERATOR AND ASSURES PROPER LOCATION
OF THE WORKPIECES IN THE TRANSPORT SYSTEM PICK-UP SECTION.
THE RAILS HAVE APPROXIMATELY 16" OF USEABLE STORAGE.

THE THROUGH FEED CONVEYOR IS TILTED IN AN UPWARD DIRECTION TO
