Description of the Machine Tool from the Manufacturer:
"The RTV600 grinding machine represents the most
advanced solution in terms of reconditioning of flywheels,
clutch friction plates and pressure plates in industrial
vehicles. Thanks to its flexibility, it is also suitable for the
fine grinding of any other circular piece like discs, rings or flanges.
The machine offers a high rigidity of torsion, thanks to its
updated machining system, to the use of strong material,
like the ripped cast iron on the base, on the head, and on
the rotary table, and to the hardened and ground steel on the column.
The rotary table has a diameter of 450 mm and its upper
surface is dove tailed, in order to easily lock the pieces to
be machined. Upon request, it can be supplied with a
magnetic plate. The rotary table lies on a ground surface
constantly covered with oil, thus reducing friction and wear
and preserving the machine at the same time.
The cone cup wheel is driven by a 6.2 H.P. motor, so as to machine any
type of material with high depths of cut.
The standard equipment includes a fast movement of the head,
an efficient cooling system with settling tank and a wide range
of devices for quick and precise positioning and fixing operations.
Other special fixtures are available on demand, such as the
segmented cone wheel, the automatic lathing device or the
clamping for pressure plates to meet the requirements of
the most demanding mechanics."
