Controls:

Temperature controls are located in a separate single door enclosure. Honeywell UDC 3000 digital temperature controller with ramp / soak programming, Honeywell UDC 2000 high limit, Eagle percent timers (2), control switches and indicating lights are flush mounted in the enclosure. Allen

Bradley SLC programmable logic controller, high limit and control contactors etc. are mounted inside the enclosure. Separate atmosphere control panel with flowmeters for H2, N2 chamber, Emergency N2, N2 Purge and Water. Pressure regulators and shut off valves solenoid valves are all mounted and plumbed to the panel.

Description:

Brick lined furnace with coiled style heating elements in ceramic holders located on both side walls, floor and rear wall for good uniform heat transfer. Furnace has a dual pivot hinge with toggle clamp to hold heat in chamber when retort is removed. Alloy retort mounted on cart with casters. Plug style retort door on casters is secured to the retort with 12 hand knobs. Silicon rubber gasket with water cooling maintains atmosphere integrity inside the retort. Hydrogen / Nitrogen atmosphere is introduced in the top of the retort, exiting gas port is near the bottom and goes through a burn off stack to burn off any flammable gas leaving the retort.
