Machinery International Corporation is proud to offer for sale this fully



automated copper tube factory using state-of-the-art technology in all aspects



of production and material handling. This fully integrated plant from



melting/casting to finish product uses cast and roll technology to produce



1815 metric tons (4,000,000 pounds) per month of the highest quality copper



tube for the water/plumbing industry and inner groove copper tubing for the



ACR air conditioning and refrigeration industry.



All machines were produced by the world's best known manufacturers, including



SMS, MRB Schumag, Induga Furnaces, and Asmag material handling systems. The



production flow is computer controlled, and all product travels from machine-



to-machine in payoff baskets that are CNC controlled.



This is an excellent opportunity to purchase the world's most modern



technology at a fraction of the cost of new. The sale includes all necessary



hardware and software, and all manufacturers are available for technical



support and spare parts.

INDIVIDUAL MACHINE CHARACTERISTICS





1. SMS MEER HORIZONTAL CONTINUOUS CASTING PLANT



General Description: The melting and casting equipment for tube shell



production is comprised of the following components:

- SMS Meer Cathode Charging System

- Two 900 kW, 8 Ton Induga Channel Melting Furnaces with temperature



regulation via tap-changer transformers

- 350 kW, 10 Ton Induga Pressurized holding furnace (and spare furnace)

- Stationary cooling frames which mount on front of the holding furnace

- SMS Meer Four Strand Withdrawal Train with two separate withdraw drives



to produce 101mm (4") tube

- Two in-line cut-off saws

2. SMS MEER TUBE MILLING MACHINE



General Description: This tube milling machine uses adjustable position



cutting heads to remove oxidation and smooth-off the shell surface in



preparation for processing through the High Reduction Mill.

3. SMS MEER HRM 100 HIGH REDUCTION MILL



General Description: Tube shell is driven forward using continuous feed sleds



into the reduction head assembly. Three roller dies reduce the shell from



101mm (4") diameter x 25mm (1") wall to 57mm (2.25") diameter x 3.175mm



(0.125") wall in a single pass. Tube moves forward to flying cutter which



removes the head and tail stock and tube then coils into a basket. Basket



rotator removes each full basket and supplies a fresh basket. Major components



include:

- Shell loader consisting of pinch-rollers and roller beds

- Mandrel thrust block system to maintain mandrel position as shells feed

- Shell feeding system consisting of two hand-over-hand pushing sleds

- High Reduction Mill unit including spare head assemblies

- Flying cutter to remove head and tail stock

- Bending unit to feed into baskets

- Basket rotator and basket removal/insert crane

- Four hydraulic power skids

- Motor drives and associated electrical equipment
