Hermance Machine Company is in their second century of service to the woodworking industry. Established in 1902 as a manufacturer of woodworking machinery, the company has evolved into a world class distributor of solid wood and panel processing equipment with a full range of service and support.

Our manufacturing heritage remains evident with the complete machine shop that serves as the basis for our rebuilding and repairing capabilities. Hermance repairs, rebuilds and sells quality used machinery. Our membership in the U.W.M.E. gives us access to the largest group of dealer owned used machinery available for sale.

Hermance represents many of the finest imported and US lines of new woodworking machinery and supplies. We maintain a large inventory of new machinery and keep many on display and ready for demonstration.

Located in scenic Northcentral Pennsylvania we remain in the original facility built in 1902. After several additions, our facility now has 60,000 square feet for our showroom, warehouse, and service area. From this location we service PA, NY, NJ, MD and DE.

Our nine man salesforce includes five outside salesmen and four inside salesmen further supported by our experienced, well-trained technicians, we remain ready to deliver the finest in service and support. Our qualified office staff is fully computerized and connected to the Internet to deliver timely and accurate information on both new and used machinery.

Hermance has recently added CNC machining capability and we have developed a helical cutterhead for planers, jointers and moulders that features a true shearing helical knife arrangement. This innovative design provides superior chip ejection and one of the quietest cutterheads available on the market.
